Day Three: Very Rainy and Wet

So we woke up this morning to a downpour.  There is a tropical storm and a hurricane somewhere near by, so it rained until around 2.  You cannot really see just how hard it is raining, but it was pretty crazy.

After the sky's closed Amber, one of the significant others, took Sean and I to the pool.  The school owns this complex, which is about a mile away from our apartment.  The complex has a giant pool, a beach with a large dock, a fancy restaurant, and 36 suites for visiting professors for the school.  They are beautiful.  I wish I could teach something so I could live in them!  Anyways, two days a week the school opens up the pool to SO's only, and we can go hang out.  Sean cannot even get in unless I am there.  Anyways, it was very pretty.
 Pool, dock, and pretty beach.
 Bar maybe?

This beach is more "dirty" than the other ones we have seen.  It had lots of grass, crabs, and sea shells to look at.

I thought I would take these next series so you guys in America could see just how clear the water was.  Here it is at 1'-12' inches
And here it is at 3.5 feet
 Here's some sea grass

Here we have a few fish that were sticking their heads out of the water to eat.  I guess they were finding food at the top.

And last but not least we have a tiny crab, hanging out on a rock.

Tomorrow were going to attempt to make home made ice creme.  Were also planning on exploring the bus route, and go to the grocery and hardware store.
Our neighbors also used their trusty machete to cut these little guys down for us,  some are plantains and the others are Grenadian banana figs.  Everyone says the banana figs are much better than bananas, so I'm excited for them!  We just have to figure out how to cook everything and we will be set!

  1. Your apartment complex looks nice & that school pool looks beautiful. You have had so many cool experiences already. Fruit looks good. Sounds like you are making new friends. Love you both...
