Second day in grenada:Part 1

So today we woke up around 7 and got the day started.  We decided to take a walk to see more of what is around, and we were hoping to get to the beach.  We started our morning off by wandering around the property and taking pictures, so here are some of those.
Oh the lovely pool.  So when we arrived yesterday it was green.  Very green.  Today our landlord swept it for 10 minutes, and now its a aqua color.  I still cannot see the bottom, so no pool time for me!

Here is our front gate that never shuts, and you can see the mango and coconut tree straight ahead

Here are some of the fruit that grow in our building, free to pick and eat.

Annnnnnd here comes the interesting part. Once you leave our nice little fence everything gets much more interesting.  In this picture, you see a house on the right, and a burned down something in front of us, along with lots of over growth.  If you look carefully at the road you see lots and lots of potholes filled with water.  This is considered a real road.
Here is what you see if you take a left out of our gate.  It is an abandoned boat yard.
So after we get past that nice building you see…more..

Here is the main road.  Sean and I walked two miles down this

Here is the Red Crab, a restaurant within 10 minute walk from our house.  It is cheaper to eat at the restaurants than it is to cook.  I can get a 4$ burger, but a chicken breast from the store is 6

Pretty flowers!
So that was our morning before 11, I’ll post later about our afternoon and night!
